Objects
The VisitorRego.NET Report Builder utilises several objects in order to build functional templates.
These templates are:
-
Label: Used to hold plain text for static labelling of non static objects. Best used for short amounts of text.
-
Text Box: Used for short to medium amounts of text. Best used for linking data from the database to a report.
-
Check Box: Used to hold true or false values such as is a visitor on site or have they left. Can also hold text like a label.
-
Picture: Used to add graphics such as logos and photo ID.
-
Shape: Draws a rectangular box ideal for containing objects containing relative data.
-
Line: Draws a straight line ideal for separating two sections of a report for easier viewing.
-
Rich Text Box: Can contain large amounts of text. Useful when whole paragraphs are required.
-
Sub Report: Used to hold additional reports that contain relevant information. Useful to avoid duplication if a particular dataset is frequently required in several reports.
-
Page Break: Used as a separator between pages. Useful if one report has several topics each required to be on its own page.
Objects can be placed by simply clicking on the desired object in the toolbox on the left side of the Report Builder and click and dragging to place the object in the draw space.

To Remove an object that has been places simply right click it and select delete.
