Self registration has its own set of features that control various aspects of VisitorRego.NETs self registration process. In order to fully utilize them it’s important to have a clear knowledge of each feature and what it does.
Start Automatically: the Start Automatically feature is responsible for launching VisitorRego.NET straight into self registration mode as soon as VisitorRego.NET runs. If left off then VisitorRego.NET will launch into reception mode on start up
Desktop Colour: Dictates the background colouration in the self registration process. It is recommended that the desktop and font colours are contrasting as to make them easy to read.
Desktop Font Colour: Dictates the colour used by any text on the desktop background in the self registration process. It is recommended that the desktop and font colours are contrasting as to make them easy to read.
Help Back Colour: Controls the colour used for the help tip background in the self registration process. It is recommended that the desktop and font colours are contrasting as to make them easy to read.
Help font Colour: Controls what colour is used by the text in the help tip box for the self registration process. It is recommended that the desktop and font colours are contrasting as to make them easy to read.
Password: Helps prevents accidental termination of self registration mode by requiring a password to be entered into the ‘Name’ field before the backdoor button ‘visitorrego.com’ can function.
Time Out: Specifies the time taken for the ‘Registration’& ‘Health & Safety’ screens to time out back to the welcome screen.
Time to review Health & Safety: Controls the length of time the ‘Health & Safety’ window (from pressing the H+S button on the welcome screen) takes to time out back to the welcome screen.
Health & Safety Label: Controls wether a second label is printed detailing the health & safety instructions. Of on then the visitor will be given two labels one with their registration details one with the health & safety details.
On Screen Keyboard: Specifies weather to show or hide the keyboard used by touch screens in self registration mode.
‘Continue’ button: toggles wether the ‘Continue’ button is shown on the registration screen. When on a visitor will be shown a Continue button to aid them in the process of registering before the push to register button is presented. If turned off the visitor will be shown a ‘Press to register’ button straight away.
Welcome Screen: turns of the welcome screen so a visitor will instantly be presented with the registration screen instead.
‘Press to Register’ button: Turns off the ‘Please Press to Register’ button that is displayed on the welcome screen. However if this is removed it is recommended that the graphic be altered to prompt the visitor to press <ENTER> or to touch the screen in case of a touch screen.
‘H+S’ button: Controls wether the view health & Safety button is present on the welcome screen. If on, the ‘H+S’ button will be present on the welcome screen that if pressed will bring up a window with the health and safety graphic.
Health & safety Screen: Toggles the health and safety screen on or off. If off, no health and safety will be shown before the visitor receives their label.
‘Press to Accept Health & safety’: Turns the ‘Press to Accept Health & safety’ button on the health and safety screen on or off. If off, then no button will be presented. It is recommended that if turned off the graphic need t be altered to indicate to the visitor to press enter or touch the screen in case of a touch screen.
Direct Visitors After Registering: Toggles the window that issues additional information to the visitor such as any additional security measures or that then need to talk to a member of staff. When on the visitor will be prompted after acknowledging the health& safety conditions.
Require Phone number: Toggles wether a phone number is required before a visitor can register.
Require “Meeting with”: Toggles whether a visitor is required to specify who they are meeting with.
Remember “Meeting With”: Specifies wether to pull the record of the last staff member a visitor was visiting.
Only Accept ‘Meeting With’ Drop down value: Forces a visitor to select a staff member that is already present in the drop down list of staff and reject names that don’t match anyone in the staff list.
Prompt Require Assistance: Controls if the ‘Require Assistance’ button is shown or hidden. If on, then the visitor is shown a button on the registration screen that is used to specify if the visitor needs assistance in the case of an emergency.
Print Visitor Label on Registering: controls wether the visitors label is printed after the registration screen or the health & safety screen. When on the label will be printed before the health & safety will have been acknowledged.
